Translation Vs Interpreting

Translation differs from interpreting mainly in the means of communication used for each one. Written communication is translated while the spoken word is interpreted. Translators work on books and documents, taking time to find words and style that accurately convey the writer’s intended meaning. Interpreters, however, need to work quickly and with care as they accurately communicate intention and meaning back and forth from one speaker to another, live and in real time.
